I am a former maths teacher living in Oxford. I am non-binary and use they/them pronouns.
I have been a secondary school maths teacher for 2 years. Teaching students ages 11-18 across GCSE and A-level Mathematics and Further Maths. I have the most experience with the Edexcel curriculum and within A-Level Further Maths I have the most practice with Pure and Decision modules.
My approach is personal and tailored to the goals of each student.
If aiming for a pass or otherwise performing below expectations you can expect me to focus on the most foundational numeracy skills first. This is so students are in the best position to continue benefitting from in-classroom teaching.
I always endeavour to work closely with schools: requesting past results, teacher feedback and curriculum plans so that I am prepared to reinforce recent teaching.
