I have been a qualified MFL teacher since 1999 and am currently teaching German at a grammar school in Tunbridge Wells. I have also taught Russian in state schools and hold a TESOL qualification, so am able to offer English as a Foreign Language as well. Having also worked in Marketing within the publishing sector for nearly ten years, I can offer a business element to language lessons, if required. I can offer German from primary age or beginners through to GCSE and A Level and also to adults; Russian to GCSE (including adults) and English as a Foreign language to any level. I offer tutoring from my home or online and would consider travelling within my local area.

Tutoring Experience

I have been a qualified MFL teacher since 1999, have 8 years' experience (having worked in business early on in my career) and am currently teaching German (with some French) at a grammar school in Kent and delivering the current GCSE syllabus. My school teaching experience spans a range of schools within the state sector in Kent, the Midlands and Surrey. I have also taught Russian in schools and hold a TESOL qualification, so also offer English as a Foreign Language. I have experience of teaching both German and Russian to A Level and have tutored private students, with a high success rate. In addition, I am qualified to teach in primary schools and have experience of teaching Key Stage 2.

Tutoring Approach

I use a wide variety of resources, from PowerPoints to worksheets, authentic materials, Listening activities and games. I am friendly and approachable and work with you to achieve your language goals, adapting resources to reflect your individual needs and learning style. For exam students, I can provide past papers for revision and assessment.
