Rachel has been a brilliant addition to our son’s education. His writing sophistication and quality of analysis has increased dramatically since he started working with Rachel. She keeps him attentive and focused through hour long online sessions, a real achievement for a 10 year old.

Rachel has been tutoring our son, Alex, year 3.
From day-1, Rachel's warmth won Alex over and he asked us to continue unlike previous attempts with other tutors.
Rachel is excellent in adapting her encouraging style and the content to the pupils needs (in terms of both knowledge and personality).
We now also adopt her effective approach when we work with Alex.

After a few lessons, Alex's attitude towards English has become so much more positive.
He searches for new words while reading and is keen to practice writing.
He loves to use every new word he learns with Rachel and is less and less afraid of making mistakes (which was an issue).
His confidence is noticeably building up with every lesson.

My daughter has been learning with Rachel on creative writings for 11+ English exams, and her improvements are noticeable: she can now plan her work more comfortably and decorate her writings with mature vocabulary and literary devices. Paragraphing used to be confusing to my daughter, but with the guidance from Rachel, she quickly understands how to divide her 'great' work into smaller sections to build up tensions and/or suspense, and to keep the reader's attention and interest. Rachel is a very kid-friendly tutor with methods in her head. With Rachel's help, my daughter has already achieved 2 merits for her creative writings at school before the term ends this year. We have had five lessons with Rachel so far and found her to be an engaging and considerate tutor, always putting the interests of the child first. My daughter has found her lessons engaging and motivational, and tried a diverse range of writing techniques. Rachel has always been willing to chat with me (even before we officially started lessons) to discuss plans and, even now, is always ready to provide constructive feedback. Rachel is very experienced and make it fun for children to learn. She comes always very prepared for the leassn and she has a very nice way to deal with the kids. My son, who hates doing any homework, loves the lesson with Rachel.

Rachel is currently teaching our daughter in Year 4 and we are really happy with her teaching technique. She is calm, very friendly and encouraging teacher.
Our daughter is fully engaged during the lessons and enjoys every minute of this new experience. She looks forward to each lesson.

Rachel was tutoring my two sons for English and Literature GCSE l. Although it was few months only- due to the COVID19 situation- I can say that the tutoring experience for my boys was very positive. Rachel was able to accommodate their learning difficulties - dyslexia and sensory processing- and was keeping them engaged during the lessons. Both boys commented that they liked Rachel's teaching style and personality. I liked the fact that Rachel would always come to the lesson well prepared, provided learning materials and was flexible when we needed to cancel at short notice. We may come back to Rachel if the boys will need to resit their GCSEs. I am happy to recommend her.
