I have just moved to Pembrokeshire having worked as an English Teacher for the past five years in the Bath/Bristol area. I am extremely passionate about teaching English and I believe that students should be enthused by their learning. Students should have access to well planned activities, interesting and challenging lessons which encourage a love of literature.

Tutoring Experience

I have five years secondary teaching experience across a large range of ages and abilities (11-18). I have a record of high results with positive value added scores for all of my exam classes. I started my career in the highest achieving state school in Bath and North East Somerset, where I learned how to best support and encourage progress. I have wide experience of teaching GCSE English Literature and English Language and A Level English Literature, but I also can provide KS3 tuition. I have provided tutoring for the past two years and have a wealth of resources and the ability to personalise sessions to effectively target the skills which students need to help them to grow in confidence and ability.

Tutoring Approach

I strive to create an exciting and supportive learning environment in which students build confidence in their ability and make good progress. I have always had positive feedback from the students which I have worked with whom have progressed well and enjoyed the subject. I am able to tutor online via zoom and in person.
