My 6 year old son has been learning Arabic from Rawan for the past 7 months. We started with in person lessons and transitioned to online. Rawan has a kind and gentle way of teaching. My son was comfortable with her quickly as she takes a fun based approach to learning. I found Rawan professional, reliable and flexible. She took my views in to account when planning lessons. She also shares feedback on how sessions are going, my son’s progress as well as extra resources to work on during weekends/holidays. I would recommend Rawan to anyone looking to learn Arabic!

Rawan has an incredible way of teaching that's fun and easy to learn with songs, pictures and mnemonics. Her lessons are well planned, I'm not a complete beginner but haven't spoken Arabic since I was a child. Rawan tailored her lessons to my abilities and challenged me quickly. I would recommend her whether you're looking to learn arabic conversationally or write academic papers!

Rawan is a fantastic tutor. She was accommodating to our needs, as we had different abilities and was able to bring us to a basic level of understanding when first learning Arabic. She was very clear in answering our questions and was kind and thoughtful about our individual learning. Rawan came prepared and asked us at first what we hoped to achieve and explained the best way of getting there. Rawan has an excellent approach to teaching. Lessons are very well constructed but also fun .My daughter looks forward to her lessons every week and is absolutely in love with the arabic language. I recommend Rawan to anyone wishing to learn the beautiful arabic language!

Rawan has been an outstanding tutor, she is friendly, professional, and conscientious. Her lessons are fun, well designed, and expertly mix cultural insight with language teaching.

We needed a course which would address both fluency in the spoken language and literacy in the written language, and Rawan put together a bespoke program to address just that. Her use of poetry, songs, and modern media has helped build confidence and keep interest!

Rawan’s fluency in English and her in-depth knowledge of language structure is a real bonus. She is able to distill complex aspects of language into easily digestible units using simple easy-to-understand terminology.

I feel exceptionally lucky to have Rawan as my tutor. I am in my late-20s and moved to Dubai in October this year; as such, back in April, when I was still based in the UK, I started looking for a tutor who would be able to teach me Arabic from a place of absolutely zero prior knowledge. I immediately had a good feeling about Rawan: her response to my initial inquiry was prompt, professional and friendly. This auspicious beginning was rapidly built upon, and each and every one of the 20+ lessons I have had with Rawan has been a complete joy. She is a brilliant teacher, combining patience, creativity, knowledge (Arabic is her first language, and she is completely fluent in English) and attention-to-detail with a wonderfully warm personality and a terrific sense of humour. From not knowing a single letter of Arabic when I started, I can now read, write and speak the entire alphabet; form words; speak numerous key phrases; and I have a healthy list of vocabulary at my disposal - we are now moving onto more advanced grammar and sentence formation. Thanks to Rawan, my ambition to attain fluency no longer feels like a naïve and over-ambitious goal, and I now believe it is entirely achievable thanks to her guidance and support. I actively look forward to our lessons, and cannot recommend her highly enough.
(As an additional note, I should mention that all of our lessons have taken place over Zoom owing to COVID, but this has not been a limiting factor at all - Rawan is very tech savvy, and has found clever and innovative ways to ensure that our lessons and homework can continue seamlessly throughout this situation)

Rawan is an excellent tutor and I thoroughly enjoy our sessions. She is extremely skilled in explaining even the most difficult principles of the language in a way that not only makes me understand the content but makes it enjoyable also! She is extremely patient and knowledgeable, even if the topic of conversation isn't directly related to lesson plan.

First impression was really positive Rawan makes the lesson very simple and easy to understand. My fist lesson was actually just a check list for her to note down how much I know about the Arabic language. She also explained some of the differences between the formal Arabic language and the spiken accent.

Rawan is bright and engaging and popular with our 12 year old. He has made good progress learning written arabic. He says that Rawan makes learning easy and enjoyable.

I would highly recommend Rawan. She is very encouraging, patient and really good at explaining often quite complicated aspects of the language. I thoroughly enjoy my lessons and am learning more about Arabic culture too.
