Rebecca

Recently graduating with first-class honours from Swansea University, I am an experienced tutor, currently working towards a masters in English Literature. I am well-read and have extensively studied literature from a wide range of cultures and time periods, including all of the novels and poems on the current GCSE and A-Level curriculum. In 2024, I received the E. Arthur Williams prize in English: an award given annually by Senate, on the recommendation of the Head of the Department of English, to the best final year student.

Tutoring Experience

While I have recently graduated and have little teaching experience, I tutored GCSE English students throughout my A-Level studies, and while studying abroad, I tutored university students in English Language.

Tutoring Approach

I take a flexible but clearly structured and organised approach to tutoring: paying close attention to each student's unique learning style and which areas of study require the most attention. I am friendly and patient, and always strive to be a source of encouragement and optimism when students are struggling.
