Rebecca was a very friendly person and the fact that she did not work out a tutor is due to the first tutor system. If I had been able to speak on the phone before deciding to pay the finder's fee I would have known that it was not the right match for my daughte,r who needs things to be concise and can be overwhelmed by a lot of talking making a point in several ways. I did feel unsure once we spoke but thought that as we had gone that far we should try it out. This was simply not a match in teaching style and pupil learning and is not a complaint about the tutor. So again my point is about this process - it is hard to see how people communicate verbally through e-mail. I asked for a refund from First Tutors for the finding fee and they informed me that in order to do that I needed to leave feedback.
I apologise Anya, if you had let me know your concerns before the class, I'm sure we could have done something to address the fact you needed a slightly different approach. I have always adapted my teaching style to my students but this can take a little time over a period of getting to know the student better, along with being briefed clearly by the parent/s. After one introduction class for English, which you sat in on, and another one for history, you asked for two classes a week but then texted saying you wanted to let your daughter adjust to wider tutoring so would take a week's break. I was quite confused and suggested a schedule for tuition going forward but you then said you'd told your daughter you'd see how different tutors delivered their subjects differently but then realised that wasn't fair on me and you decided to stop tuition. Your daughter presented as a wonderfully mature, hardworking and very polite student so I am sure you will have little problem in finding her a suitable tutor. With all best wishes for her future success Rebecca

Thank you Lynn, it was brilliant that your son increased his result by two GCSE grades after just weeks of tutoring. He took on all my feedback and advice and was a really motivated student - I'm sure he has a really successful future to look forward to!

Rebecca has been teaching our son over the last 2 years, preparing him for his English language and Literature GCSE's. She is an excellent teacher, not just because of her subject knowledge, but even more so for her approach towards learning. Her ability to understand the individual requirements is superb. Her guidance enabled our son to grow in confidence, trusting his judgement and think independently to produce work he feels proud of.
Despite the challenges due to the pandemic and consequently the changes in exams, Rebecca adapted to it without hesitation and supported us continously.

I am immensely grateful for the help she provided, encouraging and giving necessary information to help him understand the work that he is required to cover and how to approach answering questions. Thanks a lot Rebecca.
Thank you Sunmi, it was a pleasure and please just let me know if I can be of any help in the future.

From Linda
Rebecca was an immense help and support to my daughter. She was struggling with English and Rebecca taught her for about 3 months before the exam and my daughter did very well and had a 9 In English language. I do recommend Rebecca. She is an excellent teacher.
Thanks so much for your kind feedback Linda and I'm delighted for your daughter. Only 836 students got a grade 9 across all subjects so it is an exceptional achievement!
From Ahmed
We have Ms Rebecca to help our 15-yo son for tutoring him in English over the last year for his GCSE exams. We are so lucky to have her as my son’ English teacher. She has been able to improve his level remarkably. He loves her way of teaching and she is always supportive all the time. Ms is exceptional teacher and is highly recommended.
Thank you so much Ahmed, I have really enjoyed working with your son and will miss our discussions and his ideas. I know his great work ethic will serve him well with all future endeavours and I wish him all the best.
From Florin
Our daughter hasn't felt confident before her English GCSE exams and we reached to Rebecca for help. Rebecca did wonders in a short time, improved my daughter's understanding of literary analysis. Professional, friendly and focused on specific needs of the child - I can't praise Rebecca enough.
Thanks so much Florin, it was a pleasure to work with your daughter and her ability to act on feedback and make improvements was really impressive. She would make a great candidate for A' Level English if she wanted to take it but I know she is keen to pursue a career in science and I wish her all success with that.
