I am 31 years old, an ex primary school teacher with a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Southampton as well previous experience working 1:1 with children as a Teaching Assistant.

I have a real passion for working with children and seeing their little 'lightbulb moments' when something really clicks.

Tutoring Experience

Since teaching, I have taught both KS1 and KS2 classes ranging from Year One to Year Six.

Prior to becoming a teacher, I worked as a Year One TA working both 1-2-1 and with small groups of children to support them with their learning.

Tutoring Approach

One of the main reasons behind me becoming a teacher was to inject fun and excitement into the learning environment. There are incredible teachers who stand out in my memory from my own education who inspired me to want to follow in their footsteps.

I feel as if a safe, positive learning environment is vital. One where successes are celebrated and mistakes are embraced, to help us progress our learning. Learning experiences should be fun and memorable, this comes from knowing your pupils, what drives and excites them. I love to see children challenging and stretching themselves to reach their full potential.
