I am a qualified teacher and completed my QTS in 2010. Prior to this, I have worked as a teaching assistant. I have also taught children and adults overseas in Japan.
My recent experience includes tutoring with the National Tutoring Programme which was funded for schools to help close the gap in learning following the closure of schools during the pandemic.
I currently live in Central Bedfordshire, close to Ampthill, Flitwick, Flitton, Dunstable, Houghton Regis and on the periphery of Luton.
I have over 20 years of teaching in primary schools (Key stage one and two).
I have extensive experience teaching lower Key stay two (Years 3 and 4) and know the curriculum well.
I am passionate about inspiring confidence in children. I am intuitive in my approach and will adapt my teaching style to meet the needs of your child.
I am patient and nurturing and aim to build a good rapport with your child in a friendly yet professional approach.
I can support your child with reading, writing, spellings, grammar and punctuation, creative writing and homework etc. In maths, I can identify gaps in learning in regards to number, word problems, times tables and other key curriculum areas that your child may lack confidence or need further intervention in.
