I live at home with my husband, our beautiful dog Poppy, and sometimes some rare breed pigs! I am passionate about teaching Mathematics and I pride myself on making people feel secure and confident in their mathematical ability. Private Tutoring is very rewarding because you see students making real progress; sometimes for the first time in their lives.
I am an experienced teacher of Mathematics who has taught in Comprehensive and Grammar schools and also in Further Education Colleges. I am recently retired from working in a College where I was the Mathematics Co-ordinator responsible for the delivery of the GCSE Mathematics provision. I was also a Lead Practitioner for staff training and I taught on the PGCE course. I specialise in preparing students for the GCSE Maths exams.
I believe that Mathematics is an accessible subject to all. With patience, perseverance and learning in a relaxed and fun environment, everyone can achieve their potential. All it takes is one-to-one attention and an open mind to learning.
