I graduated from Reading University with a First Class Honours BA(Ed) with Mathematics. I also gained a Masters Degree in Education in 2017. I have been tutoring successfully for 10 years, for 11+ and GCSE Mathematics. I enjoy encouraging a renewed enthusiasm for Mathematics in children that have started to believe they are failing. I enjoy Maths and I believe children will find greater enjoyment of a subject if their teacher has a passion for that subject.
I have been teaching in the Primary sector for 23 years and have completed a Masters Degree in Early Years. I worked in mainstream for 22 years as Early Years Lead and AHT, I now work in Specialist Provision as EYFS Leader, overseeing 4 Reception classes and managing the Observation and Assessment Nursery.
I have been tutoring for 10 years and have built up good relationships with parents and tutees alike. I have tutored younger siblings of children that have succeeded with their 11+ and moved on. I have a calm, quiet manner and like to prove to tutees that nothing is impossible! I am able to tutor evenings and I can offer more intensive tutoring during holiday periods.
I am offering intense half term and Easter revision support for GCSE or 11+. I am also offering intense 11+ revision for the Summer holiday period.
I have a 48 hour cancellation policy for those students that do not pay termly, so please ensure you let me know if you are unable to attend a session in advance - this is due to the planning and preparation involved.
Following GCSE exams I will have some spaces again.
