Following my graduation, I worked for many years as both live-in and live-out governess to children ranging from 3 years to 17 years of age, both in the UK and Europe, before starting my own family. Both my sons are graduates and I have a daughter in year 3. Most of my current students have been with me for 5 years although I keep some spaces for year 11's every academic year.

Tutoring Experience

I currently teach English and Maths from primary up to GCSE level. My pupils are all of varying ability and have very different learning styles.

Tutoring Approach

Returning to tutoring five years ago after a successful business career, I bring a refreshed and enthusiastic but calm approach to education and supplementary learning. Initial assessment of the student using one of my preferred adapted questionnaires (such as VARK) allows me to develop a strategy that will encourage and nurture the pupils strengths in order to achieve the best results. In addition to any direction provided by parents, I also always try to establish a rapport with relevant school teachers and seek their advice on areas that need focus/reinforcement. Finally, I try to bring a little fun into the mix to keep my learners smiling!
