I am a qualified specialist teacher and hold ATS with the British Dyslexia Association. I have been a class teacher and worked as a 1:1 supporting children with additional needs. I currently work part time as a learning assistant in a primary school and also offer private tutoring for learners with dyslexia or pupils who need additional phonics/literacy support (ages 5-11).
I have worked in primary education for over 14 years. Although most of my experience is in the Early Years and KS1, I have worked with a range of different ages at primary level. Through my teaching experience I understand and can adapt to the different needs of a learner. I currently work part time in a primary school supporting children with additional needs. I have recently completed my level 5 qualification as a specialist dyslexia teacher with the British Dyslexia Association. I am now working towards my level 7 Diploma in Dyslexia to achieve my AMBDA to be an assessor.
I am passionate about providing individualised support to suit the needs and learning styles of the pupil. I believe everyone has a right to teach their full potential and that learning should be fun and meaningful!
