Tutoring Experience
17 years teaching English, 9 years as an examiner, 2 years as an assistant headteacher and 14 years as a private tutor.
I've had a really good success rate with students passing their GCSEs- often exceeding their target grade!
Tutoring Approach
Every lesson must be tailored to the individual. There are some aspects that cannot be escaped (essay writing for example!) But it is so important to build a student's confidence with English before attempting anything to daunting.
I try to use topics that they enjoy whislt also bringing some humour to the sessions.
