I'm Ricardo from Portugal, I'm 37 years old and have been living in London for almost 10 years where I've been working mainly as a Video Editor and now, of course, as an English teacher as well.
I'm an easy going happy-go-lucky kind of person who loves to communicate with others.
Even though I've been teaching English 1-to-1, only in 2020 did I take the CELTA course, to even better prepare me for different kinds of students and teaching methods.
I find that being a non-native English speaker gives me an advantage, since I know how hard it can be to learn a second - or third - language. For that reason, I am very tolerant and patient with my students. Mistakes are important and I welcome them, because that's the only way we learn anything! I make my lessons engaging and fun by adapting them to each individual student's needs and personality. I think it's easier to learn if we are talking about things we enjoy.
