I am a very happy family man who has a fantastic wife and two beautiful children and I possess an immense passion for learning. I enjoy reading, a lot, and will never stop in my quest to "know" and I continue to enrol on additional courses both for pedagogical reasons and for fun. I work full time as a KS2 teacher but I tutor from my village home in South Warwickshire. I teach maths and all areas of literacy in preparation for the end of KS2 SATS. I also teach 11+ preparation. I am a very relaxed, easy going person who truly loves to teach.

Tutoring Experience

I have been in the education industry for 11 years after completing a masters degree. I have experience of all the Key stages from Year 1 to Year 6, but especially in KS2. I have taught mostly year 6 so I am very experienced in SAT's preparation and fully understand the methods of assessment. I take pride in my work, I am reliable and committed to helping children progress in all areas of the national curriculum and have helped a lot of children form various backgrounds and abilities achieve some exceptional results.

Tutoring Approach

I am passionate about teaching and learning and strive to get the very best out of pupils that I teach. I have a very effective teaching style which stems from the combination of my passion for learning and the possession of an innate ability which enables me to impart understanding and learning on others very effectively. I believe that teaching is my raison d'etre and I wouldn't want to do anything else.
