I would like to think that I am very patient and calm when teaching Maths. I enjoy the subject and think it should be fun to learn.
At the moment I am teaching Mathematics at Hallfield School in Birmingham again. Prior to that I taught at Stratford Grammar School and before that II was at Hallfield School where I was Head of Mathematics. We prepared our children for entry into the Birmingham Grammar schools and some of the leading Independent schools in the area. Our Year 6 teaching was way beyond Key Stage 2 which accounts for our success rate. Prior to Hallfield I taught at King Edwards Five ways Grammar School where I taught Maths up to 'A' Level as I do now at Stratford. I was also Head of Maths at St James's School in Malvern for 5 years where we achieved some excellent results.
I have taught Maths for a number of years and firmly believe that building confidence is vitally important. I enjoy teaching and I love Mathematics so what better than to be a Maths teacher. I have tutored pupils from age 8 to 18 and all have shown a significant improvement at school. I try to support work done at school as well as providing my own material and schemes of work. This enables confidence to be gained whilst at school and when attending my lessons
