I am a Maths teacher at a specialist school for children and young people with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. I teach Entry Level Maths, KS3 Maths, GCSE Maths, and A-Level Maths.
I have a BSc in Mathematics and an MSc in Computing. My teaching qualifications are a 7307 Further and Adult Education Teacher's Certificate and a Learndirect Online Learning Mentoring Module 16 Certificate.
I have 4+ years experience of KS3, GCSE and Functional Skills Maths tutoring.
I have experience tutoring learners with autism, ADHD and trauma and victimisation.
I take a positive and encouraging tutoring approach to help learners build up their confidence. I adapt my approach to the needs of the student but a typical lesson would be first going through any work the student is currently doing and needs help on and then continuing with a structured course. The focus will shift to working through past papers coming up to examinations.
