Hi, I'm Rob from London and I am an AI researcher, Physics graduate, and experienced tutor of seven years in teaching students in Mathematics, Science, and Technology.

I have a degree in Physics from the University of St Andrews specialising in mathematics and physics education and have utilised the skills I have learned and developed to nurture student success and excellence. I have seven years of experience in tutoring children across a wide range of abilities and ages, where I have developed my ability to build student confidence, foster effective problem-solving techniques, and ensure academic excellence in STEM subjects.

Tutoring Experience

My journey includes completing a Physics degree at the University of St Andrews (the UK’s top university according to The Guardian University Guide, and the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide), where I gained a comprehensive understanding of both Physics and Mathematics.

During my academic journey, I have tutored students with varying backgrounds, group sizes, and ages, from pre-GCSE to A-Level, in both mathematics and physics.

Tutoring Approach

My approach to teaching is founded on my belief that curiosity drives learning and that cultivating a growth mindset in my students encourages them to be life-long learners and resilient problem-solvers. I am committed to developing the natural curiosity of my students, encouraging them to explore beyond the syllabus, to always ask "why" and to always go that extra mile to understand the previously unknown. I also aim to extend their learning beyond the curriculum and to overcome problems with persistence and confidence, laying the solid groundwork for my students' future careers.
