I have been a mathematician since 1985, having spent most of my life in universities.. I got my PhD in 1992 in Bielefeld, Germany, spent two years at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and returned to Goettingen, Germany to get my habilitation. Since 2004 I have been working at a London University.
I have been a university professor for over 20 years. I have been teaching mathematics at the university level since 1985. I know what higher education is looking for in student performance.
It is best to see first what the student can do, how the student thinks, and after that figure out the best way to bring the student to success.
