Robyn

I am an experienced teacher, teaching English to all years at secondary. I now work as a private tutor, helping students to gain confidence and reach their potential. I have an MA (1st Class) and an MPhil in Classics from Glasgow University and a PCGE in English from Reading.

Tutoring Experience

I taught at Reading Blue Coat School for 11 years and spent last year working at St Joseph's College. This has given me a broad range of experience teaching students at different levels and with a range of needs. I have an excellent record at GCSE and A level. I have also been tutoring privately for a number of years.

Tutoring Approach

I believe in an individual approach, looking at strengths of the child and building on them. In a one to one setting it is easy to be encouraging and help the student build their confidence as well as tailoring the tutoring to their personal needs.
