I'm currently a 5th year medical student at UCL, deeply passionate about both medicine and teaching. Over the past 8 years, I've had the opportunity to tutor numerous students in GCSE Maths, Science, A-level Chemistry, and Biology, helping them achieve academic success.

My own journey with education has been profoundly influenced by the tutors who guided me during my GCSEs. Their support not only boosted my knowledge but also my confidence, igniting a passion for learning that I now strive to instil in my own students. I believe that learning is a two-way street, where both the tutor and student grow together. I approach each student with compassion, recognising their unique strengths and tailoring my teaching methods to meet their individual needs.

Tutoring Experience

I have had 8 years of tutoring experience, teaching a diverse group of students with different abilities. I specialise in teaching KS3 Maths and Science, 13+ Maths and Science, GCSE Science and Maths, and A-Level Biology. Additionally, I have experience teaching the UCAT and have previously mentored students to help them gain admission to medical school. Throughout my career, I have worked with a number of tutoring agencies, enhancing my ability to adapt to various teaching environments and student needs. I have also taught students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), developing effective strategies to ensure an inclusive and supportive learning experience for all.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching approach is rooted in dedication, compassion, and a genuine passion for nurturing young minds. I believe in the power of personalised learning, recognising that every student has their own pace and style. By adapting my techniques - including diagrams, anecdotes, games, and roleplay - I strive to create an inclusive and engaging environment where questions are encouraged and curiosity thrives.

Collaboration is key in my teaching philosophy. Together with my students, we set achievable goals and empower them to take ownership of their academic progress. I regularly assess their development, providing constructive feedback and unwavering support to keep them motivated and focused.

I am also deeply committed to supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). My experience has honed my ability to develop effective strategies, emphasising clear lesson structures, consistency, and breaking down complex concepts into manageable parts.

Creating a calm and positive atmosphere is fundamental to my sessions. I promote open communication and aim to cultivate a love for learning that extends beyond our tutoring. My goal is to empower students to unlock their full potential, guiding them towards academic excellence and personal growth.
