I am a fifty-eight year old professional in semi retirement. I worked for 22 years in the City of London as a Corporate Tax advisor and I have the qualification of Chartered Tax Advisor. I am passionately interested in economics at A level and above. Thanks to personal circumstances I am fluent in the French language, and my mother tongue is English.

Tutoring Experience

I have had pupils at primary school age for English tuition aswell as mature newcomers to the country, I have also taught French to a small class in a school.

Tutoring Approach

My approach is to guide the student through the material thoroughly. For A level economics this usually means making sure they have a sound grasp of the basics and then building on this with extensive question practice and exercises. For English students I put an emphasis on reading comprehension and speaking correctly, aswell as writing effectively. French tuition is again exam based - GCSE O level with an emphasis on spoken and written proficiency.
