I have graduated in BSc Mathematics and Education from Sheffield Hallam University. I have been tutoring for the last couple of years. I tutor KS2, KS3, GCSE and A level Maths, with specialisms in the latter being Core 1 and 2.

Tutoring Experience

I am a fully qualified maths teacher with experience in teaching at a very challenging school. I have successfully pushed pupils to achieve beyond their target grades. I have worked for a tutoring company and also tutored privately for many years.

Tutoring Approach

A confident learner is a successful learner and in maths I think that confidence is crucial. I will help build up my tutees confidence so that they will feel able to answer questions with ease! I will encourage, not humiliate, and I will ensure that topics are pitched perfectly so pupils can make progress straight away. Exam rubric (what the exam boards want to see and how they want to see it) will feature heavily and we will work together so weaknesses will be consolidated over time.

I aim to help pupils over the long term by also discussing revision strategies and memory aids to ensure that topics covered in sessions will remain fresh and exam ready.
