I am a Legal Professional working in-house and currently reside in Wokingham. I have been tutoring now for over 8 years from year 2 all the way up to A levels resulting in a dynamic and varied educational experience. In addition, I am an Arsenal supporter and like to keep fit by visiting the gym 5 days a week. I also enjoy travelling and the outdoors.

Tutoring Experience

I am currently tutoring 12 students, at various ages from year 4 preparing them for 11plus all the way up to GCSE students who will be taking their GCSEs next year. In addition to this, I have taken various clinics whilst at University to help people who's first language isn't English to help with the understanding of their courses. Finally as a final year student I took on various first year students to help them through their studies with the experience I had gained from going through the same modules. Previously whilst at school I have helped primary school children with entrance exams having gone through the process myself to enter my grammar school and private school respectively.

Tutoring Approach

My approach to teaching varies according to the needs of the student. I find it useful to discuss topics with the student and gain an understanding of their weak and strong points. After understanding a topic, the focus is on practicing exam techniques and exam questions. My students find it useful when I break things down in small sections and explain them in simple words. I also focus on the type of memory my student has, a picture memory results in a completely different form of teaching to someone with a more logical approach, and my approach is therefore tailored to these requirements.
