I have a First Class Honours Degree in Mathematics and Education and a doctorate: I specialised in a branch of statistics. I live in Cheltenham with my family and work as a teacher of Mathematics. I now offer small group online tuition.
I have taught Maths for 15 years: I was Head of Maths at Bradfield College, an independent boarding school near Reading where taught A level, the IB Diploma and IGCSE. I was also the Headteacher at an Academy where she taught A level and GCSE. I now work part-time at a local secondary academy teaching A level and GCSE programmes.
I am able to teacher all pupils except those at an extreme end of the ability spectrum. At the higher age and higher ability end, I am excellent at helping pupils achieve A*s in Maths and Further Maths (C1-C4, S1-S3, M1-M3, FP1-FP3) and Level 7 in IB Standard level by ensuring that students really understand the theory and that they are able to apply it to solve a range of problems. At the other end, I am fantastic at lifting pupils through Common Entrance and achieving a Level 4 at GCSE. I am is very adept in supporting pupils who find Mathematics difficult. I am able to break the theory down in to manageable chunks and will steadily develop a pupil’s confidence so that sustained progress is made. The price per person can be reduced if you are taught as part of a small group of 2-4 students. The price per person for a group of two is £30 per hour and the price per person for a group of three or four is £20 per hour.
