I am a qualified, experienced and enthusiastic physics teacher. After graduating from Durham University, I completed my post graduate certificate in education at Oxford University. I am passionate about physics and am particularly committed to encouraging pupils who lack confidence in this subject.
I taught physics for over 20 years in prestigious London day schools covering all age groups from KS3 to A level. I have a thorough knowledge of exam specifications at both GCSE and A level and my effective teaching strategies have led to consistently successful examination results. I have helped pupils who struggled in Year 7 to overcome their problems and go on to achieve excellent GCSE's as well as assisting A level pupils to go on to top universities. I have been a private tutor for the last few years.
I am the mother of three children so understand that the exam period can be daunting for some. I am approachable and friendly and my extensive experience enables me to gain the best from each individual pupil, depending on their needs. My skill is in explaining and simplifying what are perceived to be difficult concepts.
