I am a qualified primary school teacher with 34 years of teaching experience in London schools. I recently left the classroom to focus on tutoring. I am able to teach all of the primary range including EYFS.
As I have been teaching for 34 years, I have had numerous roles within a school. I have taught all age groups and am experienced teaching SEN children and children with English as a second language. I have also tutored one to one and in small groups. I have worked with children to support them one to one with KS1 and 2 SATS in which they have achieved well. I have recently been the phonics lead in my previous school and have worked with children to prepare them for the year 1 phonics check.
When tutoring,I quickly identify children’s gaps in knowledge and understanding so I know what they need to learn. I approach teaching in a fun, interactive way, improving the confidence and educational outcomes of the child. I really enjoy teaching and work hard to have a good relationship with the children that I teach.
