- Silly, creative memory aids to help make things stick
- Visual models of all concepts
- Linking language to mathematical words (e.g. per-cent = per-100 parts)
- Strategy sentences used repeatedly to form good habits, like "does it pass the vibe check?" (does the answer seem sensible), "keep it on the paper, not in your head" (note numbers as you go to free up brain space)
- Resilience exercises and a bit of brain-science on what's happening as we learn
