Hi there,

I am a teacher of Economics, Business studies and Maths and I have over four years teaching experience. I have tutored family and friends in the past and have always got excellent results. I have an MSc International management and a 2:1 BA Honours degree in Economics and Politics and would be willing to tutor in those subjects.I studied both Economics and Politics at A level and gained an A grade in both subjects. I am available for tutoring on a 1-2-1 basis.

Tutoring Experience

Over 4 years working as an Economics and Business studies, and Maths teacher. I have taught across all the exam boards, including AQA, Edexcel and OCR. I have taught both applied business studies and business studies at both GCSE and A Level. I have taught all three boards specification for Economics and have experience of teaching maths up to GCSE.

I have received outstanding results in all the schools I have worked, with a 100% A- C grades at A level in both Business and Economics.

Tutoring Approach

My approach to tutoring is a very personalised approach, centred around what the tutee wishes to achieve. I believe in establishing what they want first and then tailoring my approach to them. I like to use a variety of methods and resources. And to build a relationship in which they feel comfortable discussing there needs. I'm quite flexible in how we learn things based upon what they need. I set high standards for my tutees and try to help them by improving and refining their exam technique and improving their knowledge of the subject. I have a bespoke approach to tutoring which is very much designed to meet the needs of the student. I have extensive private sector experience having worked in Financial services in London and having worked in Japan for a year. I bring this real world application to my lessons and find that it helps students relate better to the theory they are studying.
