I am a friendly, bubbly and professional individual with over 5 years experience in teaching English. I have been living in Bangkok, Thailand for the last 5 and a half years and have gained extensive experience teaching young learners and business English to adults.
I have a keen interest in fashion and jewellery and in my spare time i love to go to acoustic live gigs and enjoy cycling.

Main responsibilities: Teaching using the ‘Jolly Phonics’ and ‘Scholastic’ reading schemes, designing and creating additional handouts for higher/lower ability students, planning and preparing crafts in line with the curriculum, assessing students and writing bi monthly reports based on performance, development and behaviour.

Prangthip Bilingual Kindergarten School (March 2013 – March 2015)
Role title: K1 Homeroom Teacher
Main responsibilities: Teaching English, science, math and art, creating yearly and weekly lesson plans, writing weekly reports based on students’ academic performance and behaviour, creating creative wall displays in line with the curriculum and managing students during lunch and nap times.

Role title: Head Teacher for ‘Scholastic’ Early English Teacher and English Teacher for Adults
Main responsibilities: Training the new teachers to use the software, interviewing and hiring the new teachers, observing and monitoring teachers performance, teaching vocabulary, phonics, reading and writing through games and songs to ages 7 - 10 using an interactive whiteboard.

Main responsibilities: ‘One to one’ and small group conversational and business English, document editing and testing.

'Mercy Centre' at the Human Development Foundation (August 2013 -Present)

Main responsibilities: Teaching English, organising sports activities, preparing meals, and cleaning the communal area.

Brampton Junior School (January 2012 – June 2012)

Main responsibilities: Teaching small groups, helping children with classwork, preparing crafts and experiments managing the students at break times.

Tutoring Approach

I believe that all lessons should be student centered and the student should be using their English skills as much as possible through the lesson. I believe learning should always be fun and an enjoyable experience from start to finish. I believe students learn better when they can relate to the context of the lesson so I always make the materials relevant to the students.
