My name is Sarah. I'm a fun, positive and patient year 3 primary school teacher offering after-school tutoring of maths, English, phonics and reading comprehension in South West London to children ages 5-11.
I have been a primary school teacher for five years. Throughout that time, I have led Year 2 and Year 3 classrooms, supporting a class of mixed-ability children to achieve their best by delivering fun and well-organised lessons in a supportive and welcoming learning environment.
Prior to this, I taught EAL to children aged 4-5 in Seoul, South Korea for four years. Unsurprisingly, I have a great passion for travel and have backpacked large portions of East Asia over the years!
I have tutored a range of subjects to children of all ages. Through my support and dedication, I have seen children build confidence and develop the skills they need to flourish in the classroom.
I use a variety of concrete resources to support learning, as well as interesting and interactive PowerPoints to help engage and motivate. All my activities are tailored to the level of my pupils, while ensuring an element of challenge.
I am an enthusiastic, kind and empathic teacher that encourages children to learn from their mistakes, think creatively and never give up. I build a welcoming, enthusiastic classroom where my pupils feel valued and supported.
