Tutoring Experience

So much school and teaching experience In a variety of schools with supporting many different learners. I am experienced in tutoring ages from 7 - 14. I am also able to teach up to GCSE English Language. Recently, I successfully managed to encourage a struggling learner to achieve a pass with 16 hours of tutoring. He progressed 2 grades within this time frame. Currently, Creative Writing seems to be a popular subject which I really enjoy teaching. Maths is what I have predominantly tutored children with over the years. Year 6 children I have taught in previous state schools have regularly achieved ‘Above Expected’ in Sats Tests in writing and maths.

Tutoring Approach

I specialise in raising children’s self esteem and will teach gaps in their learning in order to increase confidence at school. I relish open and honest relationships with students and carers to ensure academic needs are catered for. Subject areas covered are creative writing, maths and English grammar. All materials provided.
