Your child will receive a compelling and compassionate holistic learning experience. I am a patient and responsive teacher, qualified, experienced and skilled in the subjects I offer. I provide individual and ongoing feedback to parents and pupils, which ensures the best outcomes.
For my GCSE English students, I prefer to tutor them for the whole two years, to ensure deep learning. However, I am able to offer shorter courses, for those who need to build skills and confidence prior to exams, and these may be in the form of one-to-one or tailored workshops.
For my A level students, I prefer to tutor during the daytime where possible, and for the duration of the two years. I do however, offer shorter courses nearer to exam time, which covers exam preparation, revision and essay writing.
My fees will vary according to the programme of study: hours, length, needs of student, time of day.
I am very welcoming of students with additional needs/neurodiversity. Here is some recent feedback I have received:
"My son (S) is autistic and has been unable to attend mainstream school or small group lessons in a private college. Sarah has worked out how he learns and what motivates him and he loves his A level Rs lessons with her and I am so happy to see his self belief recovering and growing. Sarah has also helped him work out a plan for his future so he now has aspiration he didn't have before too. We feel so lucky to have found her!"
"Sarah is a fantastic tutor who really cares about her pupils.
Our son (H) got through nearly 11 years of school without his dyslexia being identified and Sarah spotted it with his first piece of writing for her.
Thanks to Sarah he is going into his GCSEs more prepared, more confident and in an infinitely stronger position than he would have done without her.
I would strongly recommend Sarah and we genuinely feel blessed that she came into our lives and made such a significant difference."
"I really wanted to thank you as [L and L] both love learning from you as you are so knowledgeable, patient and kind and they have responded so well to your tutoring" (KS2 and KS3 pupils)
"When [E] came to you, we were hoping she would pass her GCSE English - her grade 8 result is beyond our wildest dreams"
