I firmly believe that teachers are among the most influential people in a student’s life. With over five years of experience in the education sector, my goal is to make a meaningful difference by understanding each student’s strengths and needs. I am passionate about working with students from all backgrounds, sharing my knowledge and experiences with enthusiasm and a sense of humour.
As a dedicated computing educator, I am committed to fostering achievement and creating opportunities for all students. My passion for computing drives me to inspire learners, and I have been recognised with multiple teaching awards, including Creative Teacher of the Year.
I am currently the Head of Computing at a secondary school in Central London, where I teach Computer Science and ICT across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. In addition to my school teaching experience, I have also taught post-16, undergraduate, and master’s level Computer Science.
My expertise includes teaching various programming languages, such as C, C++, Java, and Python, as well as server-side scripting languages like PHP and MySQL. I also have hands-on experience with web technologies, including HTML, JavaScript, and PHP, from my role as a webmaster.
I am committed to fostering independent learning and creating an inclusive classroom environment, ensuring all students develop confidence and proficiency in computing.
I am well known in my working environment for my adaptability and reliability. Building strong rapport with students and colleagues is essential to creating a productive and engaging learning atmosphere. I believe that fostering positive relationships enhances learning and helps students feel more confident in their abilities.
I strive to promote a love of learning by maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment. At the end of each lesson, students will not only understand the material but also be able to answer why, how, when, and where they can apply what they have learned. My lessons are carefully designed to develop students’ literacy and numeracy skills while keeping them informed about the latest advancements in the field.
