I’m an experienced tutor with 7 years of teaching maths and science. I have a Master’s in Engineering from UCL, and I’ve always enjoyed helping students understand tricky concepts in a clear and simple way.
I’m especially passionate about science (and Excel spreadsheets!). Whether it’s biology, chemistry, or bioprocess engineering, I aim to make things easier to grasp (maybe even a little fun)
I use real-world examples to keep lessons interesting and relatable, while still focusing on what’s needed for school, exams, or university prep. Tutoring gives me a chance to share what I love about these subjects and help students feel more confident in them :)
Proven Success:
My students regularly exceed their predicted grades (Minimum of 2-grade improvement for 90% of students within 6 months)
Student 1: 8-9 (AQA Double Science Higher) — predicted 6-6
Student 2: 8 (AQA Biology), 8 (AQA Chemistry), 7 (AQA Physics) — predicted 7, 5, 5
Student 3: 5 (AQA Maths), 5-5 (AQA Double Science Foundation) — expected not to pass
Student 4: 9 (AQA Maths) — predicted 7
Student 5: 8 (Edexcel Maths) — predicted 6
Excellent end-of-year results for secondary school students!
Over the last 7 years as a tutor, I have developed my ability to adjust my teaching methods to cater to each student's needs and learning style.

I also have training and experience working with SEND students, including those with Dyslexia, Autism, and ADHD, allowing me to tailor my teaching to support their learning needs.
My approach is flexible, adapting to each student's unique needs by incorporating analogies and visual comparisons for better comprehension.
Efficiency is key in my sessions, ensuring every minute focuses on learning and progress!
My typical tutoring approach:
1. Initial Session:
- I begin by identifying the student’s current level, gaps in understanding, and confidence with the material.
- After this, I create a personalised plan based on the student’s needs + subject specifications.
2. Regular Sessions:
- Content is covered using visual aids and drawings to simplify complex ideas.
- A tailored checklist for each topic is provided to ensure all content is thoroughly covered.
- I include exam questions + mini quizzes to review and asses understanding and confidence.
3. After Sessions:
- iPad notes + lesson resources are shared with the student (and homework, if needed!).
- Feedback is shared with parents to keep them informed and ensure everyone is on the same page regarding progress.
Each student is different, and sessions naturally adapt to suit student needs.
I'm committed to keeping students on track and involving parents in every step of their child's academic journey.
