I am a certified Mandarin tutor who loves teaching as I find it a fulfilling endeavour and started out by tutoring under-privileged children at community centres since the age of 17, and I haven't stopped since! I tailor all my lessons depending on each student's needs, and will be able to provide guidance remotely as well.

Mandarin tutor for students of all ages learning as a second language

I have tutored over 25 students in Mandarin Chinese since 2020, all of whom have seen at least a grade jump since I've tutored them, a few have gone from failing the subject to receiving A's. In the IB diploma, due to my outstanding performance in Chinese, I completed the 2 year syllabus within 1 year and attained the highest grade possible of 7, with a 96%. As someone who comes from a Chinese-speaking household but is English-educated, I am fluent in both languages and can easily help students learn the language if they are non-native speakers.

Graduate from drama school, worked with audition panellists from top drama schools and youth theatres.

I am an actor and tutor, trained under a BA Acting course at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. I have worked with top drama school tutors, industry directors and theatre companies. I have directed a few productions, such as The Crucible, performed stand-up comedy at the SOHO Theatre and was also an alumnus of the SOHO theatre writers' lab. Currently, I am working with BBC comedy under a talent development lab, and can provide insights into the industry.

I will tailor the classes depending on the student's individual needs, be it for LAMDA exams, drama school entrance or general help with monologues. Lessons are generally about 1 - 1.5 hours long, depending on the student's needs.
