I have a PhD in Biology and five years of postdoctoral research experience working in cancer, immunology and metabolism at the Francis Crick Institute. I want to use the knowledge and experience gained from a career in academic research and university teaching to help students get into their dream universities.
As an honorary research fellow at UCL, I have 2 years of experience designing and delivering seminar-based teaching to undergraduate students in life/medical sciences. I have an in-depth understanding and experience with multiple forms of effective assessment and feedback to undergraduate students.
I aim to use my extensive research experience and expertise ranging across different topics in biology to tailor lessons to suit the pupil and their needs. I plan my lessons and explain key scientific concepts using different formats to suit the learner. I am effective with communicating pupil progress with parents and ensuring my students receive clear and comprehensive feedback on their work.
