I have graduated in Neurobiology back in the 90s and kept up with scientific discoveries ever since to strengthen and widen my basis. Since then, I have had over 30 years of experience in a professional career. I have been tutoring German, English and Biology since the late 1980s.
Likewise, I have over 55 years of experience in working in the UK and Germany with professional organisations in the ICT industry. Therefore I can cover a wide range of needs in learning and improving language skills in both German and English equally.
If learning a language from scratch, I like to use the alphabet and simple vocabulary to structure basic sentences, practice the pronunciation, grammar and listening skills. I like to read literature, news, and poetry with my students. For more advanced learning I use conversations and professional texts.
When it comes to science, I like to teach the basics of the cell-structure, physiology, genetics, neurology, evolution, ecology, etc.
In any case, I like to bring in a variety of elements to surprise and motivate my students and give them different perspectives.
