I am am a third-year medical student at a top UK university, and enjoy communicating my love for science and languages through teaching. Having been to a top UK grammar school, I have experience in the 11+ exam, as well as the UCAT medical entrance exam. I can also provide mock interviews and personal statement proofreading and editing.
I have experience teaching children with learning difficulties, having mentored a Year 8 student over the course of a year, to develop their reading skills, as well as tutoring children with dyslexia also. In addition, I have tutored my younger brother for his SATs, following which he achieved several GDS levels, that is, 'working at a greater depth within the expected standard'. I have tutored several GCSE students too, in Maths and English respectively, who have gained in confidence over time, and have coached aspiring medical students for medical interviews.
My teaching approach is always student-specific; every child is unique in their strengths and challenges. Some students prefer their lessons to be self-led, providing me with questions they would like me to go through; others prefer me to walk them through each topic. I am very flexible and cater to what parents and students prefer.
