I am a fully qualified Chemistry teacher with a first class honours degree. I have recently retired so am able to offer availability throughout the working day as well as evenings and weekends.

Tutoring Experience

I have over 35 years experience of teaching A level Chemistry, both AQA and OCR, in grammar schools and colleges. I have extensive knowledge of the mark schemes of both exam boards which is invaluable in helping students.

Tutoring Approach

I aim to achieve a good working relationship with my students so that they feel able to ask any questions without fear of judgement. Many students feel that they have good knowledge of the content covered but struggle to adapt to the structure, terminology and application required in the examination questions. This is a major factor for many students.
