I am a primary school teacher with 13 years experience. I have taught all year groups across key stage 2. I am currently a year 6 teacher. I manage assessment and pupil premium in my school and have been a private tutor for around 7 years. I always form close relationships with families and often stay with children throughout year 7 to support transition to secondary. I love tutoring and the difference it makes.

Tutoring Experience

As an experienced teacher I understand how to teach in a variety of styles, meeting all needs. I am experienced with special needs and finding and plugging gaps in learning.

Tutoring Approach

I love working with children and their families to support attainment and progress. I mix sessions with short bursts of focused activities to ensure children remain interested. I am a calm person and build relationships with children to allow them to feel confident asking me for help and guidance that they feel they need. Where parents are happy, I also talk to class teachers of children to find their currents teachers views of how they need to move forward. I can work towards sats, building confidence first, to support children obtaining the best scores that they can get.
