Hi there! My name is Shreya and I'm currently studying Economics and Management BSc at Royal Holloway, University of London.
I’ve always been passionate about learning across a range of subjects, especially English Literature, Psychology, and Economics, which I studied at A-Level. At GCSE level, I achieved top grades of 9 in both English Literature and English Language, as well as a 9 in Economics. Alongside my academic studies, I spent four months in India completing a Sanskrit diploma course, which sparked a deeper interest in languages and philosophy.
I’ve had a range of teaching and tutoring experiences that have allowed me to work with students of different ages and abilities. During my time volunteering in primary schools, I supported younger children with both English and Maths, helping them build confidence in their reading, writing, and number work through small group activities and one-to-one support.
At secondary level, I’ve assisted in GCSE English classes, where I helped students develop their analytical skills and strengthen their understanding of key texts. I’ve also provided online tuition in Sanskrit and Religious Studies for students working towards their GCSEs, which gave me valuable experience in tailoring lessons to suit individual learning styles.
Through these experiences, I’ve come to really value the importance of patience, adaptability, and communication. I enjoy finding ways to make learning feel accessible and encouraging, especially when students are struggling or lacking confidence.
I’m a patient and supportive tutor who understands that every student learns in their own way.
I always try to adapt my approach to suit each individual, whether that means explaining things differently, going over topics more than once, or finding creative ways to make the subject more relatable.
My goal is to make students feel comfortable and confident while also making sure we stay focused and productive. I believe that learning can be both enjoyable and effective—we’ll most definitely work hard, but we’ll also keep things engaging so it doesn’t feel overwhelming.
Overall, I’m here to help students feel more confident in their abilities and to improve their grades with steady, focused progress.
