I am an enthusiastic, young tutor based in Cardiff and London who takes a different approach to teaching. I previously studied at Cardiff Sixth Form College (one of the best sixth forms in the UK) on a full scholarship, and am now a medical student at King’s College London. It’s my belief that maths and science aren’t taught well in schools, and that these subjects seem daunting and unapproachable in exam curriculums and classroom conditions. I want my students to excel and I want to pass on my love for these subjects, which is often lost through the seeking of a grade. I am a flexible tutor and am free to tutor evenings and weekends. The first session will be free to assess compatibility between me and the student.

Tutoring Experience

I obtained tutoring experience through volunteering; I tutored many students throughout lockdown in GCSE biology, chemistry and maths for four hours a week. Doctors are required to teach throughout their career and I wish to gain more experience in order to supplement my career and impact another student.

Tutoring Approach

MATHS AND BIOLOGY: If your student is seeking to pass an exam, we will go through exam technique. I am highly versed in exam technique having gone through these exams only a year or two ago. I will also teach independent study and revision techniques so that your child can progress without my help one day. I will set homework and research tasks weekly - if the exam is near, I will expect a paper to be done each week or every other week that I will mark and review in class. For primary school students, my priority will be to teach the student how to learn and the basic concepts of each science.
