My educational journey commenced with success at the 11+ exams, paving the way for me to attend one of the top grammar schools in the country. The rigorous academic environment fuelled my drive for excellence, evident in the achievement of 10 A*-B grades at both GCSE and A-levels. I excelled in subjects such as Biology, Psychology, Religious Studies, and General Studies, showcasing a well-rounded academic proficiency. Building upon this solid foundation, I pursued higher education, earning a Masters degree in Pharmacy. Successfully navigating a challenging qualification exam, I emerged as a qualified pharmacist, eventually working at some of the top hospitals in the world.
Over the past decade, I’ve worked as a dedicated tutor, with a strong focus on supporting children with learning disabilities such as dyslexia and autism. For over ten years, I’ve tutored students up to GCSE level in Maths, English, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning, including Eleven Plus preparation.
My tutoring journey began in sixth form, helping younger students at school, and continued at university, where I mentored first- and second-year students. I connect easily with students and understand their challenges.
My approach is calm, approachable, and tailored to each student’s learning style. I use effective resources to build confidence, reinforce understanding, and help every student reach their full potential.
I have a number of resources and will assess the best way the student learns before deciding what way to help them in order for them to achieve the best possible grades.
