I am a dedicated and passionate Science teacher who loves working with children! I am offering bespoke Science tuition sessions to KS3, GCSE and A-Level Science. I am interested in all things Science, especially Biology! Science is a brilliant subject and I want all students to feel confident in approaching the subject.

Tutoring Experience

With four years of dedicated teaching experience in inner-London schools, I've had the privilege of instructing students across all three sciences at KS3 and GCSE level, with a particular emphasis on Biology at A-Level. My academic journey includes graduating with a PGCE in Secondary Science (Biology) from the Institute of Education (IOE), complemented by an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences (BSc) from the University of Warwick. This comprehensive background equips me with the necessary tools to deliver engaging and effective science education.

I enjoy using technology to create an interactive classroom environment and have additional experience in online teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic. I work primarily with students in Years 7 to 13, breaking down complex concepts into basic definitions and building up from there. I engage students through questions and answers and by applying their knowledge to exam questions to prepare them for assessments. Additionally, I provide curated resources, simplify scientific terms, use visual aids, and offer extra support for language skills, creating a supportive and patient learning environment for students learning English as an additional language or those with low literacy levels.

I have lots of experience helping children who are learning English as an additional language and those who struggle with reading and writing. I have experience in supporting children who join school partway through the year from other countries. I work hard to ensure they quickly catch up with their classmates.
