Hi, I'm a recent graduate from an integrated Master's in Biochemistry and Genetics from the University of Sheffield. I have heaps of enthusiasm about Biology and Chemistry and a good deal of personal experience with the UK exam system to give you or your child good tips and tricks to tackle exams and exam pressure.
I have been working as a supply teaching assistant in primary and secondary schools since October this year and have helped children with schoolwork in 1:1, small group and classroom settings, including children with SEND.
I enjoy sharing my knowledge of Biology and Chemistry and have volunteered in science outreach activities including running a stall explaining ideas in plant science to the public during my time as a science research intern at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.
As well as teaching academic subjects I also have experience giving violin lessons, and founded and co-ordinated a music ensemble while at the University of Sheffield.
GCSE and A level exams I believe are challenges that require good strategy almost as much as they require hard work and commitment. For this reason I am keen to guide tutees in making a well-crafted plan, setting out the content that needs to be covered and the timeframe for covering it in the first session, and take personal responsibility for analysing the details of the requirements set by the relevant exam board.
I specialise in Biology and Chemistry but I can also offer pre-GCSE level tutoring in Physics and Maths. Please get in touch by email or phone if you'd like any more information or would like to discuss arrangements.
