I'm a qualified teacher and Autism Specialist Tutor.
I am a patient and understanding person, with high ambitions for all learners.
Every child is different, so every child needs a different education that is adapted to them and their learning style.

Tutoring Experience

I am experienced in teaching children and young people with SEND and neurodivergent conditions, including PDA. I have a background in teaching and more recently training teaching staff in how to support autistic learners.
After becoming an Autism Training Consultant, I managed the Training and Consultancy team at a national autism charity, working with educators, health and social care staff, NHS staff, universities, employers and more, to improve understanding of autism and neurodiversity, and how to support those with additional needs.
I taught English as a foreign language in a university in Chile, and am fluent in Spanish (spoken and written).

Tutoring Approach

I work in a person-centred way to tailor learning each individual.
I start by getting to know the learner's unique profile of strengths, interests, support needs and ambitions, to ensure learning is enjoyable and effective.
I incorporate meaningful life skills in my lessons that will improve engagement and independence.
