Hi I'm Spardha - I'm a friendly face who is passionate about mathematics and would love to impart knowledge and skills that I have acquired throughout the course of my education to help those who may need a bit of guidance or support with maths at school.
Having achieved the highest grades in my mathematics GCSE and A-level - grade 9 and A* respectively - I started using my skills to support younger children at my school at lunchtimes with maths problems they found challenging and ensured I provided an encouraging and nurturing environment for them to learn, grow and develop valuable skills. I have tutored over 50 students, and have seen them go from strength to strength, and would love to extend my teaching to as many students as possible to help them excel academically.
My teaching approach is as follows:
1. Take a look at the curriculum and learning objectives and use a traffic light system to gauge the student's feelings towards certain topics so I know which areas to focus more time on
2. Work through some questions on these topics together, sharing valuable skills and knowledge on the best way to approach problems
3. Set some homework questions for the student to work through independently in their own time to bring with them to the next session so that we can go through them together to consolidate their understanding of the topic
4. Provide support with any other topics or maths problems the student has been finding difficult at school and provide extra questions on these topics
