I am a German native speaker, and have been teaching German up to GCSE level for the past 25 years. I have also taught German A level at Doncaster sixth form college from 1995 to 1997, and I have worked for First Tutors previously with a very good rating. I also speak French and Spanish and am currently improving my Italian.

Tutoring Approach

I love teaching German at all levels to all kinds of learners, taking into consideration the learners' individual aims, needs, ability and language learning background. I believe language learning should be fun but rigorous, and always keep in mind the learner's specific reason for learning. I teach topic work, vocabulary and grammar in combination, focusing on a thorough step by step approach, which enables the learner to make the best progress(s) he is capable of. From the outset the learner will engage in conversation, underpinned by structures which will ensure that the language is learned thoroughly and with real visible progress.
